Sherine M. Abd El-Kader Moharram, President of Electronics Research Institute (ERI)
Sherine M. Abd El-Kader received the M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications Engineering at Cairo University in 1998, and 2003 respectively. She was a Professor in the Computers and Systems Department, Electronics Research Institute (ERI) in 2014. She became the Head of the Internet and Networking Unit in 2003 till 2014. Also, she was the Head of the Information and Decision-Making Support Center from 2009 to 2014, and the Head of the Technology Innovation Support Center (TISC) from 2013 to 2017.
Sherine became the Head of the Computers and Systems Department, ERI, since 2018 till 2019. She acted as the vice president of ERI from 2019 till 2021. She was the Head of Scientific Instruments Center, Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) from 2020 to 2021, and a member of the technical evaluation office and performance evaluation of the president of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology since 2019 till 2021. She is the Head of the Technology, Innovation and Commercialization Office (TICO) since 2018. She is currently acting as president of ERI since 2021.
She had the excellence reward from ERI in 2019, and 2020. She has published more than 70 papers, 10 book chapters and she is an Editor for four books. Sherine is working in many computers networking hot topics such as: The IoT, 5G, cognitive radio, Wi-Fi, IP mobility, QoS, wireless sensors Networks, ad-hoc networking, real time traffics, vehicular networks, healthcare networks, biomedical engineering and localization algorithms.
